Education
Chapmanville is very fortunate to have four of the finest K-12 facilities in Logan County. There are two elementary schools, a middle school, and a high school located within Chapmanville town limits. On any given day, town is filled with the sights and sounds of school-age children. Town leaders have made a special effort to provide for their convenience and safety.
For those interested in higher education, Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College (SWVCC) has two campuses located within driving distance.
Sports
Athletics also play an important role in Chapmanville. Sporting events help players improve and master various skills, and perhaps even more importantly work on developing good sports-like behavior, discipline, cooperation and leadership. Other key parts of our athletic programs are mental focus, positive thinking, teamwork, and game strategy. Athletics instill a sense of commitment, respect for themselves, opponents, coaches, and officials. We feel strongly that these aspects of sport are indispensable to the success of the team as well as they are to each team member and the community.
Chapmanville is home to several modern athletic facilities. The town plays host to High School Basketball, Baseball, Football, Volleyball, Tennis, Golf and Softball. It also hosts Middle School and youth league sporting events.
